CRICKET LUNCH - WEDNESDAY 6 JANUARY 2027
THE ASHES HAVE NOTHING ON THIS
A Men’s Australia v New Zealand Cricket Lunch
Forget the formalities. This is all about great cricket, good mates and one of sport’s oldest rivalries.
Join us for a cracking afternoon celebrating Australia v New Zealand, with plenty of food, drinks, banter and Trans-Tasman bragging rights up for grabs. Settle in for a long lunch, enjoy the game and cheer on the Aussies as we remind our Kiwi mates who really owns the backyard.
Most importantly, your attendance supports the PSLSC Competition Team, helping our athletes train, compete and represent the club at the highest level. Come hungry. Come thirsty. Come prepared to defend the green and gold.
Tickets on sale: 9:00am, Friday 27 November 2026

WHAT YOUR SUPPORT FUNDS
Funds raised from the Cricket Lunch go directly to the Portsea SLSC Competition Team, supporting athletes across junior, senior and masters divisions in surf sports including swimming, paddling, rowing, surfing and beach running.
Our teams compete at state, national and international levels. The 2025-26 season included representation at the Victorian Wieland Shield in California. Beyond competition, the program builds the lifesaving skills that underpin patrol leadership, first aid and water safety at Portsea.
IRB Competition Team: Since its re-establishment in 2021, Portsea’s Inflatable Rescue Boat Racing Team has grown into a formidable competitive force, training year-round for state, national and international events. Their work sharpens the rescue and surf skills that define Portsea’s lifesaving service, particularly on our challenging back beach.
