Portsea SLSC is a welcoming club with activities for the whole family, from patrolling and lifesaving education to social events and use of the clubhouse. The membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August.
IMPORTANT: MEMBERSHIP AND NIPPERS
If you’re joining Portsea SLSC so your children can participate in Nippers or any of our other education programs (Portsea Surf Academy, SRC, Bronze Camp and so on), please read this before you apply.
An active family membership is required. Children cannot participate in any education program without it. Associate memberships do not qualify.
Membership does not guarantee your child a place in Nippers. The Nippers program is heavily oversubscribed every year and fills within hours of registration opening. Joining as a member is the first step, but you also need to be ready to register the moment registration opens.

HOW TO JOIN
- Complete the online membership application via Hello Club. APPLY NOW
- You’ll need to nominate an existing Portsea SLSC member over 18 to sponsor your application. If you don’t know a current member, you can still apply but your application may take a little longer to process.
- Active members over 18 are required to hold a Working With Children Check (WWCC) and nominate Portsea SLSC. WWCC INFORMATION
